Why am I like this?

28 12 2006

Hmm.. seems like I haven’t posted any thing much on this blog site. Well, if all I can say is how much I hate ABS and all podcast promo only, I better not care to post much. Also, I don’t have much time to browse the news for anything to blog about. That, or I’m concern about readers’ attention-deficit dysfunction.

May you all have a safe and healthy 2007!

Princess Hours @ ABS-CBN

28 12 2006

This is the last time I will post something about Princess Hours since it’s irritating enough that yes, the inevitable happen — they’re using some Star Record song courtesy of those Pinoy Dream Academy winners Yeng Constantino and RJ something. I wouldn’t want to catch the video, I will try all my effort not to watch a glimpse of the whole video and I will wish deeply that Princess Hours won’t be a TV hit. That’s how much I hate their marketing strategy.

I wish all the worst to their company. To their shows. HAHAHA!

Princess Hours Premiere Telecast

19 12 2006

I’m just happy that they use the original soundtrack, which is best thing I love about the series. That, and the photographs in between scenes. I can’t wait to see the teddy bears!

But the dubber for Yoon Eun Hye is bad! Bad! Bad! And I’m still wishing someone from Star Records would not put any stupid song on that show. They should distribute the Korean OST locally instead.

Now, this is the only show I might watch again on ABS-CBN. I don’t care if they’re banning their videos on Youtube. The VODs on ArirangTV are way better than ABS-CBN Now. And they are free! That’s the way to spread a culture, ABS, it should be free, not profit-inclined!

Turns out I misunderstood the wiki. There may be 2 versions of the sequels, the unofficial being Goong S. There will be a Goong 2 still!

Princess Hours @ ABS-CBN

18 12 2006

Tonight Princess Hours will premiere at ABS-CBN. My sister is mostly excited. Of course, it is now dubbed in Tagalog.

Well, for those who haven’t watched it yet on DVDs surrounding Metro, this is good news for you. You can enjoy it unless: dubbing is bad, some Pinoy OPM will replace the OST (let me guess, Yeng Constantino’s Hawak Kamay or something else from Star Records?), you can endure a long story (which is subject to ABS-CBN’s cutting, but I doubt it, if this series will make good money, they would show this for 6 months). The show promises good costume, nice (but long) story since it came from a manhwa (Korean manga) and two handsome princes. You’ll almost love Kim Jeong Hoon over Joo Ji Hoon, if not for the fact that the latter is the main man. Joo Ji Hoon is a stick!

Quick trivia: Yoon Eun-Hye (female lead) was formerly from hiphop Baby VOX. Joo Ji Hoon (male lead) is a model. Kim Jeong Hoon (second prince) was from boyband “UN” (you can watch some of his videos on all KumYoung karaoke! yey!). Sung Ji Hyo (ballerina, female antagonist) was from the movie “Wishing Stairs”. All actors except Sung Ji Hyo were first time actors.

Here’s an update on the sequel: Goong S (ala Sailormoon S). The new casts are interestingly cute.

At the back of my mind, something’s telling me it is not worth it, I should watch the whole series in DVD instead.

Pinoy Dream Academy finally ends!

13 12 2006

I’m happy, very happy that the show’s about to end. This week! Sadly, I enjoyed last week’s kickout episode where Rosita and someone got to go. Guys, I was in the influence of alcohol, anything on TV looks good, anything that moves looks good to me when I’m dizzy.

I’m only sad that Princess Hours would replace it. The dubbing must be at least good. I watched it and the show’s a little slow but good. I must say it is good. But rather long. The costumes and the OST pays off well.

Anyway, I still know that anything from reality shows looks good only until the season ends. I don’t believe they got their career ahead, except for a few weeks on ASAP. I think that since rock bands are in fashion these days, that’s what they will do, except for the boys, no , all of them, will act on ABS-CBN shows, sing on ABS-CBN shows, and, uhm, that’s it. Oh, and yeah, some of them might get their names on a Wikipedia entry.

See, it’s not always the artist. We got artists who are good, or at least got the potential. It’s the system that sinks everything into one-hit wonders.

Happy Reming Wasn’t Here in Manila

4 12 2006

The damage done by Reming was serious, I hate to think that I I’m more concerned about PAG-ASA giving an early forecast that it will hit Manila bad, and we’re never hurt at all. Many people lost their lives and their homes, I sympthatize.

I just know if Reming has gone to Manila, my precious raincoat won’t do me any good at all. I should be very thankful.
