THE ERASERHEADS’ REUNION CONCERT WILL PUSH THROUGH

Unfortunately, this post is for my ex-officemate which I would never disclose his name coz he doesn’t even know this blog exists. But, then why am I writing anyway if for no reason? I never wrote about the Eraserheads’ concert before, since there are too many articles already yet nothing’s confirmed at that moment. But now, the reunion concert, the reunion concert from the band that left us wondering (or me at least) what the hell happened, why did they break up (much like what happened to the band Orange and Lemons, but I am not about to relive the shock and disappointment, that’s all in the past). This concert was a chaos ever since it started to make wave as a rumor. Why? Because apparently, a big tobacco company is "sponsoring" or "organizing" or "funding" the event, which is bad, bad, bad for health, (my kiddie readers, remember that!). Although no one knew until the other day how, when, what will they do to get precious tickets when the concert is suppose to be TOMORROW night, and if this is all just a scam to get people logon the cigar company’s website (and kill the curious cats). It reportedly was on Philip Morris Philippines’ website for the whole time and people were waiting including my ex-officemate Budoy, damnit, I said his name? (which said, the concert is to be available free-admission, if I’m correct, by invitation only to smoking patrons of the cigar company. Budoy even emailed and made reservations (if that is possible) for the tickets, even though Budoy isn’t a smoker. Budoy also happens to be an online-gamer at the site. Now, how can a non-smoker be a member, I wonder? And really, I wouldn’t tell you his name is Budoy!). The "big thing" about the whole concert is the said talent fees of the 4 music icons of Philippine music. Who wouldn’t be amazed at the news/rumor that says each member will get P2.5M to P10M ($55T-$220T)? For just 45 minutes of togetherness inspite of their hard feelings for each other. Until after too much pressure from different sectors all over the Philippines, the tobacco company dropped their support and tickets are now available around half the price of an Arashi concert DVD. BUT ALL THESE RANTS WERE FROM RUMORS, SO IT MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE, OK?
Well, really, it’s time to be together again. Because this may never happen at all on the next years. They may not be as old as the men from Apo Hiking Society or Asin to say it’s all too early, but we can never tell time. And their fans, although of course, we could all still act like crazy people like we did at the last Roderick-rolling, ehem Rick Astley with Kuya Dick, and fans would wait all their lifetime or until they could take it and dream about it, but if all chaos surfacing right now about the reunion goes and the big event doesn’t push through, many would be unhappy. Very unhappy. Eheads have already left us, why still make old fans crazy if it’s all for nothing?
So, if you’re not going to Matsumoto Jun’s birthday party and you’re in Manila, and you can still find tickets, an alternative is to go to the Eheads’ reunion concert. Now, if I just happen to have a boyfriend this time, I would go. But I don’t have one (or two). Because I’m faithful to Sho (and Aiba). As I said, it may not happen again. And I think, there’s no requirement for you to smoke this time.
Now if you’re still wondering, who the hell Eraserheads is, I don’t have an archive. But their wiki entry and this may be a good intro. They defined my youth. They were awesome when they were starting and all their songs evolved like The Beatles. Damn, why do Beatle-sounding bands always die fast as a band and break my heart? That’s one reason I’m sticking to Japanese boybands.

A NEW PHILIPPINE-MALAYSIA JOINT DRAMA
Jericho Rosales is back. Really, before the Heart Evangelista romance, I never heard anything from him. And after the whole Heart Evangelista thing, I never heard anything about him again. Now he’s back with a new on-screen love interest, from Malaysia, an actress named Carmen Soo (how famous is she, marchy?) The soap is called Kahit Isang Saglit or would be known in English as A Time For Us. Well, good luck, Jericho or Echo, may you make it big, because the actor can act. I think. Although I don’t like him actually. But he’s got followers from all over Asia, so he must be doing something good. Until he broke things with Kristine Hermosa.

This isn’t the first joint drama by Malaysia and The Philippines. I think the first one is an afternoon drama in the rival station called Muli (Again) which has bad Engrishes and bad storyline. Who the hell would fall for a story where a man leaves his pregnant wife in Manila and fall for a girl in Malaysia and in the end, they end up together? Or that’s what I think the story is about.
MANNY PACQUIAO VS. OSCAR DELA HOYA
I find many people reading my old post on a Pacquiao battle, I thought he’s gonna have a fight again this weekend. Even my ’dude’ officemates mentioned his name this morning. So I google, and indeed, there’s gonna be a new Manny Pacquiao fight. Against another famous boxer named Oscar dela Hoya. On December 6, 2008 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada. Now, I’m not really interested in Pacquiao or any of his fights (he’s so rich now!), but my dad loves him, he can’t stop cursing the TV whenever he watch. And you gotta give credit to the man who does zero-crime rate in the Philippines at the hours of his fight. Which means Filipinos commit crime even on Holy Week, but never during the telecast of Pacquiao fights. We even have exclusive high-priced cinemas showing his real-time battle. Awww…
The only chance I would cheer for him is if I’ll ever learn that an Arashi member probably, Aibaka would watch his fight. How could I pass on the chance that Aiba and me, watching the same thing, at the same time, no? AND WHO WILL SING OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM? Read the news from ABS-CBN.com
PLANE CRASH AND VEHICULAR ACCIDENT
A very sad news that I just learned yesterday. A C-130 Philippine Air Force plane crashed on Davao Gulf on Monday night. Bodies (and body parts) are still unrecovered (sorry for anyone eating while reading this) underwater. 9 people were expected dead and at first, the accident was suspected as sabotaged by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). I’m sure I wasn’t even born yet and MILF were already formed. Many presidents passed and they’re still active. Now, I think if Mindanao really want to go independent, the government should just give it. But that’s a different story. Bless the souls of those who died, they did not deserve their fates. 10 Korean tourists died while on their way to Bolinao, Pangasinan including a 6 year-old girl. It was raining and all passengers were presumed sleeping while the driver, a Korean named Su Gwan Lee is no exception to the fatigue. "As he approached the town at about 12:45 p.m. that day, his van swerved to the left side of the road and rammed into the concrete wall of a warehouse along the national highway in Barangay Sampaloc." So sad. No news about her for a long time ago and now this. Breast Cancer, I don’t know how to say I hate you in a non-sarcastic way, because you’re not funny. Zorayda Sancez was a well-known comedienne of the 80’s and is famous for her scary-ing roles. But I didn’t know that she was a graduate of University of Sto. Tomas. She was 57. Watch the video here. oh, jericho and carmen drama. carmen is quite famous for english and chinese drama, she’s a famous model also, but looks quite different in teaser, not that kind of innocent look anymore…
i like to see that PHILIPPINE-MALAYSIA here, like honoring the relationship between ace and aki, the double A crazy fangirls… haha… why didn’t they make a story about two fangirls from different countries who end up knowing each other because of japanese boy bands, we can be the leads, and our guests are all our fav johnnys… haha… the whole fangirls around the world will send us death notes out of jealousy! haha…
that jericho drama looks good with all the thumbs up-durable actors including jericho. i hope it won’t loose its steam and run for 365 days.
eraserheads, uhm, i forgot about them. sori, your are a fangirl. i wasn’t paying particular attention when they were “big”. knew some of their songs tho but i was more worried how can i pass clinical chemistry,etc. in one go while reading more books totally unrelated to my course. but enjoy yourself if you can go even without your 2 kareshis.

marchy, yep, so many news, I thought I’d share (since I’m dumbfounded about the 24HrTV) I don’t know news about local bands anymore, sadly, just this one because it’s controversial. why, I wanna learn about Malaysian indie rock scene, give me some songs/artists I could listen to
so, Carmen is a cute artist back then? something like a Musume? I read in her wiki that she’s a model, I don’t know if her character would speak some Tagalog (because the younger version of her spoke Tagalog). I also wanna see the acting of. I think in Malaysia they will dub this or sub since most if further episodes will be shot in Manila, then, they’ll do Tagalog. I was tempted to sub/translate the teaser but who would want it, haha! Jericho/Echo needs this break. I think he got lots of fans although I’m not a fan of his dramas. Don’t say Piolo was also shown in Malaysia?
I can’t stop laughing at your idea! Arashi is definitely going to be a mainstay of our show. We will play like serious serious actresses, though I never played serious or as an actress before, but I can pull it off! My leading man would be Sho, and you Takki, awwww! But I told you we’re serious, OMG, I already have an idea of how the script will go, how they will chase us and how love knows no boundary when it comes to language and busy schedules of our idols. Akkk! We will endure lots of trials with our love lives but in the end, we will conquer it all! Classic, damn, so classic love story! Watch out for that in cinemas near you, people!

with Eheads, not really a fangirl, but I could always listen to their songs, second-hand since our neighbor love them. but when they’re gone, I suddenly miss them. I actually liked more their later songs because they quite improved as musicians. no, I don’t go out, that’s how boring I am, I like appreciating things on my own pace, although gigs are always happy. but how can jump aroundgo crazy on their songs when the rest are drinking beers, or whatever?
my father loves boxing too, and basketball, and drinking beer, and airguns, and he all do that while cursing happily. He doesn’t mean to curse anyone though, he just love expletives.
i’m thinking the next Philippines Dream Academy winner would sing, but since noone stands out, I’m betting whoever’s living in the US right now would do it. BAN CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA singing the anthem or I’ll memorize the Japanese anthem instead.
gosh, ace! you got the same idea as me, a classic love story! that would be the best! imagine we shoot our drama/movie at some breathtaking sceneries, with the sakura falling from the trees, awww… and our boys just love us no matter what, and we fight for our loves…
i think they’ll sub any tagalog in that drama, actually, we sub everything in malaysia. if the show use other language besides malay, they’ll sub it into malay and even the show is malay, they’ll sub it into english! haha… that’s why foreigners actually can watch tv in malaysia, haha…
yes, piolo also shown in malaysia. i think we’re the most open country in the world, we just basically accept everything from outside. haha… we have slots for dramas in lots of different languages; english, japanese, korean, latin, mandarin, cantonese, tagalog, indonesian, thai, hindi, tamil and few others more.
OHMY! this calls for a fanfic! you will get the sakura scene, I will get the winter scene, oha, Endless Love fangirl edition! Although I plead noone should die in our story! Coz we will have many children!!! Hahaha! Now, really, that’s fanfic! ww’re also a variety too when it comes to dramas shown, although we don’t have malays, indonesian, and thais. even on MTV, we don’t get alot, unless it’s the MTV Asia, but that was out of our cable too. Really Piolo? Akkk! I’d have more faith in Aiza Seguerra. Piolo is too matinee for me. Maybe I’m not romantic at all.
haha… yes! endless love! i will be takki’s new neighbour (i just move to japan), we share the same balcony, he fall for me at the very 1st sight but too shy to declare his, but he helps me a lot to adjust with my new life in alien culture. till one day he can’t take it anymore and express his feeling towards me, but too much rejection from his family and friends hurt both us, and he has to hide me as his gf from the society because he’s so famous. we then try to get away to some beautiful island, but on our way there i almost get hit by a car but takki safe me, sacrifice himself. he’s injured and was sent to the same hospital where you do your check up for your brain. coincidently sho is actually his long lost best friend, meanwhile ace and aki are actually friends who got separated because of tsunami, i was safe but you got drift away to japan beach, that’s how you got your amnesia… haha… this crazy!
ah, and you actually meet and share your love with sho when we are on our vacation at phuket. we have a great time but we don’t know the tsunami was coming, sho try to safe but the wave took you away from him, he went back to japan heartbroken. fate bring you two back together in japan, but as a twist of fate, you lost your memory and sho try his hardest to make you remember all the sweet time you share together… haha… i can keep go on, and go on like…
DAMNIT marchy, is that a scene from Hana Yori Dango Final without the amnesia or I am just imagining Sho without a shirt, embracing me, then when I saw his air muscles, I said to myself, “God, he’s gorgeous, why can’t I remember him?” and he’ll tell me, “it’s ok, no need to push yourself too hard on remembering things.” and I say “awww…” and he wants to kiss but I say “no!”, he got embarrassed then I get a rock and brick it in my head coz I get hopeless remembering things before, and I worry Sho would forget that he loves me (which will never happen anyway but I was just worried, I’d lose a cute guy like him).. aww my god!
then we will meet you on Phuket and you and Takki, I will say, “what a happy couple, I wish to have a love like that..” and Sho will say, “but you have me here”, “but I don’t know you”, he’ll suffer self low-esteem again, but will just help me remembering things. We will talk and I say, “oh, I remember Takki… and you” but not Sho. poor Sho, but that’s his fate. He can’t make rap songs for arashi because he takes care of me..
haha… i wonder how much johnny-san need to invest for this movie…
korean drama producers will do a remake because of the huge success of this blockbuster movie!

then in order for me to remember things, you suggested that we watch old video of 8-Jidai, I LOVE JR, Sugao concerts, MJ coz you say you know I’m a chibi Junior freak. Then both Takki and Sho say, “Yabai!” “NO!” they don’t want to see their awkward Junior days, dancing and singing and making fool of their selves. It’s the perfect plot where we can show cute footage of the Juniors. HAHAHA!!!

every 24hr tv tanpatsu makes me cry
i’m sure i will cry over this also. besides the story is kinda like 1 liter of tears drama, i mean, the disease is quite similar but this time the focus of the drama is between a dad and his daughter, so i’m really looking forward for this one.
that’s also the disease in 1 Litre of Tears? Hmm.. I really wanna watch dramas even without subtitles. But I guess this will do. I wanna see if Jun’s acting could tell me what’s happening even without understanding the dialogues. And I think Karina’s ok too. Maybe I could watch Takki’s tanpatsu before Jun’s to set me in the mood for some crying.
well, it’s not exactly the same, but still a nerve disease, and the symptoms are quite similar.
takki as a daddy… poor him, he lost his sons twice, 1st the unborn one in forbidden love and 2nd in kimi ga kureta natsu. he should marry me instead and produce lovely children with me…
maybe we should start acting now by sending telepathic signals to Johnny-san to push the movie with us so you can meet Takki now! maybe if I’m not busy later, I’ll continue with my drama marathon.
