Korean actor Ahn Jae-hwan was found dead last September 9th and police are suspecting this as another case of suicide. Inhaling toxic gas (probably the similar method popular in Japan?) is the cause. He was found in his car and is believed to have died days ago since his car was parked several days already on the scene.
What’s happening in Korea and Japan? Is economy really hard for them? Ahn was reportedly having trouble with his finances and marital life. Now, marital life. He was just married to comedian/DJ Jeong Seon-hee, November 17 of last year. It was one of the funniest report I’ve seen on Arirang, where the bride was so lovely but so funny as well. This was before I’m into Arashi.
Where was I? Oh, I am lonely everytime I read reports of celebrities dying of suicide in Korea. Because it might might mean that what more the citizens, they accept it as a part of society norms. I don’t like it. Here’s what I remember of Ahn & Jeong’s wedding.

I’m not a big fan, but God bless his soul.

i shocked also when reading this news. gosh! so many stars-death news nowadays… nande? it’s scary… but, entertainment world is tough, the competition is too stiff, you have to work really hard…
i’m almost not posting this news. coz it’s early in the morning and this is what I read. seems like asian countries are really more inclined to suicide. what about UK? I don’t think suicide rate is high in your area right? even US, the “root” of economic depressions, suicide isn’t high right? but rich Asian countries, it seems it’s an accepted part of their life. hayy… I’m afraid if Philippines become rich, people might become this way.
It is pretty shocking. I feel so sorry for his wife, it must be so hard for her.
I read an article on suicide in Korea and although it was biased towards the more pessimistic side, suicide rates in Korea are high due to many things- as many as 30 people commiting suicide a day. It is a problem in Korean society I think, just like other things are problems in other countries.
that’s sad. I know there are many factors why they do it and I think their culture allows it. but 30 people a day, isn’t that’s a little too much? I just have the idea that Korea and Japan were happy positive countries based on their TV series (dumb basis, I know), but this is real life I guess.
