Found this on posted on D-Addicts (posted by Feffiroff ) via Arashi VOX community (posted by ytec304). This could be a good alternative to watching Arashi shows over KeyHoleTV or TVUPlayer in almost real-time. Some says it is delayed by one minute like in TVUPlayer. Just copy the link and paste Windows Media Player or any of your player that is capable.
Windows Media Player: (tested on ver 10 and 11)
Click File >> Open URL
Paste channel link. Click OK.
Winamp: (ver 5.5+)
Click File >> Play URL
Paste channel link. Click Open.
Wait until it complete its buffer, actually it buffers still while you’re watching. The quality of the videos are nice (480×270), but it also mean your connection should be stable and fast. I had to stop downloading just to make this work and get screenshots.
For Linux systems, you can use Linux Movie Player as suggested by hisarashi of LJ
For Mac users, you can use native Quicktime.
A new version of VLC (0.9.4) is also said to support Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The new version can also save automatically on AVI format. For instructions on how to do it, please visit Marchy’s post at her LJ under the heading "Recording video using VLC Media Player 0.9.4". Please take note also of the italicized words she mentioned about upgrading to 0.9+ version over 0.8+ in case you’re using Windows. You may download VLC here (old and new version).

I hope it all works to you. kazamidori, let me try giving more screenschots how to use it. but basically, you just need Windows Media Player or Winamp (I get errors using it with VLC), just paste the link of the channel you want to see and wait for it to buffer to 100%. unfortunately, my connection isn’t the best on earth so I can’t use it anyway.
yes, jiji, I missed you. and it’s like normal TV yes, but you need good Internet connection like DSL/T1 and not dialup.

Pat, you can still watch NewsZERO later and AnS. yep, that’s how clubboxes get their raws, by recording the streams. I think animu.eu is just backup in case gundam.eu gets problems.

I recovered it for you. maybe because you posted a link that’s why it became spam. I found out how to record it but then I could only capture 3 seconds coz my connection sucks. What is written there in your link is correct except that you should use MMS instead of RTSP protocol.
cancel that comment about how the tutorial you found Pat worked. I couldn’t test it anyway. I captured my video using different way, I forgot. Just watch it for now, haha! Then download it later! NewsZero, AnS, don’t forget!
Hey! I’m currently recording News Zero.. Somehow I figured it out without following the instructions. But it’s in asf format.. I don’t think it’s of very good quality. How do they make those HQ ba? I wanna record AnS HQ!!
save it as AVI instead of ASF. but it will eat up space. around 6GB per 30 minutes. I’m not sure. It’s all just converting formats.
I tried saving it into avi format but it doesn’t work. It only works for asf format. Waa, I feel sad!
but then it doesn’t have option in AVI. try Raw. then extension of your output file is AVI

haha… if you’re using vlc, normally we record them as asf files. after that we’ll convert them into whatever types of video you want it to be, avi, mpeg, wmv, flv or whatsoever. for HQ recording normally we use WM capture/recorder, this u need to buy the software. but the quality from gundam channel is better than keyhole or tvu. if you want the HQ copy, just wait for the uploaders, we have our own capture card and sotware, so you don’t need to have headache of capturing the HQ video.
I used WM/RM capture once years ago but then it was trialware so I stopped using it. I think Pat wants to record HQ of files not normally uploaded on comms and such. and she really like HQs nowadays. Pat, wait for files uploaded from gachapin CB for HQ videos instead in the meantime
btw, if you’re watching shows from TBS, use mms://notfourchan.net/tbs instead, they’re of larger res.

I tried this with VLC but all I got was the sound and no picture. I have a Mac, could that might be the problem?

Well while my house is not dial-up but its still sometime choppy…so watching at work is good. Though not many good shows will be on during work!!! but the music and anime channel is lurve!!! LOL..
ahahah! it’s my dream to find complete recording of Music Station episodes (not only Arashi parts) to broaden my interest on Jpop! and right now, I’m also looking for other channels available like Korean and American channels for a friend. sad too though can’t use it at home (maybe I should get a better internet plan so I could catch with people who used this to watch Arashi shows..

i read that the mms streaming doesn’t work on wmp 11..are you using wmp 10? also, i have the latest vlc installed 9.4 and it stops streaming after a few seconds. I wonder if anyone else has the same problems? anyway, thanks a lot for the channels. I’m tempted to downgrade my vlc now ^_^
axxxgxxx, sorry for 2 versions of this post. now that you mentioned it. yes, I tried WMP 10 and 11, they both worked fine with streaming. and I use VLC 0.8.6 in the above sample, I mean in the other page. There were issues if you follow my conversation with marchlavender in the other page about later versions of VLC. I hope you can read it for now, I can’t revise the page yet (sorry). but yes, it would help if you could downgrade VLC.

well its not gonna last for ever.these streams die when everybody finds them.network become corrupted every jurk with ridiculous line speed starts to asking for signal connection.the server collapses from demand and then nobody can use nothing.the same old story with jurks that after 3-4 months they want to share their secret.and eventually dream ends up for all.[and of course what you read on net also reads them channels providers of content etc]pitty for people with servers vpn and slingboxes…people start p2p streaming your channels and av content and dont expect everything from others.only then intellectual rights monopoles and market concentration will have to change their mafia strategies..

nanachan, have you tried using Quicktime? I’m sadly not a proud owner of a Mac (in dreams, maybe) but I think Quicktime can help or the latest version of VLC. I updated the link above.
